Thought it was about time I updated this. In the last few weeks I have been working on the script as have everyone else . We looked into different ways of interacting with the game for example reactivision and the wiimote whiteboard. We are currently working on getting the wiimote whiteboard working as we think this will be the best way for the child to interact with the project.
After receiving feedback from the script we need to make a few changes. We need to change the I character from an ice-cream cone to another character as the I sound in ice cream is not what we are trying to teach. We also need to include symbols rather than text to make it easier for the child to navigate.
In relation to the programming we are now programming in flash and processing and passing information between the two using Flosc. This should make some elements of the game more straightforward to program.
We are also looking at removing the right and wrong element from the project and turning it into something parents can do with their child.
We are having a meeting today to discuss all the changes and work out what way we are going to go.
